Kancho Lloyd Russette

Kancho Russette is a 10th degree black belt and founder of the Kihon system. With over fifty years experience, Kancho has been instructing students in Kihon for over thirty years. Shihan Norm Rivard

Shihan Norm Rivard is a 5th degree black belt, and has successfully represented Kihon in full-contact, bare-knuckle competitions in North America and Japan. He has a full contact record of 77-6 with notable wins in New York at the North American Karate Championships, Denver at the Sabaki Challenge, and in Chicago t the U.S. Shidokan National Tournament, the largest knockdown competiton in the United States.




Shihan Dan Charlebois

We are very sorry that Mr. Charlebois passed away on Dec. 19, 2000. We have included him here out of respect for his accomplishments. Shihan Dan Charlebois was a 6th degree black belt in Kihon Karate. He also held black belt ranks in Kodokan Judo and Ryu-Kyu Kempo Karate. He was the co-founder of the International Kihon Karate Association.
